It's time to nominate DC area officers for the 2025 DC ACO Executive Committee!

You may of course nominate yourself, and we support having healthy competition by nominating more than one person for any position if you wish. Nominations will run from now until December 1, 2024, and nominated individuals will be asked to confirm their acceptance prior to the elections, so there will be no surprised nominees on the ballot.

We will then have an approximately one-month election period to choose the new committee, with the intent of having the new team up and running by the first or second week of February.

Please take a moment to carefully consider and assist us in accomplishing this organizationally important task.

We will be trying a new venue for the September ACO Social Hour. Solaire Social. Conveniently located near the MARC platform at 8200 Dixon Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Try to wear something NOAA related so we can find each other! We also still have coins and stickers to distribute to dues paying ACO members. 

The DC ACO will be hosting an event at SSMC3 with coffee and donuts featuring several Captains who are stationed in the DC area. We will also have a professional photographer available to take photos. If you have recently been promoted and need a new bio photo, here is your opportunity. More details to come. 

Wreaths Across America - Arlington National Cemetery  

Join us in honoring our nation's heroes with Wreaths Across America. Each December, we gather to lay wreaths on the graves of fall veterans, paying tribute to their service and sacrifice,. Together we ensure that their legacies live on, and we invite you to be part of this meaningful tradition.
